The Outlook Foundation is a charity empowering adults with learning disabilities through safe, supportive homes, where they can learn the life skills they need to live as independently as they choose.
We work with each person to create their fully personalised support plan, helping them to learn life skills such as budgeting, cooking and using public transport, so they can live their lives to the full. We provide a forever home to those with higher needs; supported living houses for others; and support in their own flat for those ready to take that step.
We have been supporting people aged over 18 in Brighton and Hove since 1989 - some of our tenants and staff have been with us for almost that long!
Outlook House
Outlook House has room for eight tenants and is often where new tenants first come to live with us. It's based in Withdean, a residential area in north Brighton, and is where our head office is based. Click below for more information, photos and to see the CQC report.
Jean Marshall House
Jean Marshall has eight ensuite rooms and a welcoming shared lounge, kitchen, conservatory and outside patio. It is just a walk to the sea, and the shops, restaurants and bus routes of Hove. Click below for more information, photos and to see the CQC report.
Gaynor Forster House
Gaynor Forster has five lovely self-contained flats, as well as a courtyard garden with a built in barbecue. Situated near Preston Park in Brighton, the house is on bus routes into the centre of town. Click below for more information and photos of Gaynor Forster.
Hangleton House
Our newest house, Hangleton is a shared living space providing a safe, peaceful home to four of our tenants. It has a lovely sunny garden, with a communal kitchen and conservatory for eating together. Click below for photos and more information on Hangleton House.
In the community
For those of our tenants and residents whose independence gets to a level that they are ready to take the next step, we support them to find their own flat within Brighton and Hove. We help with all the admin of moving and then stay in touch through scheduled hours and always being at the end of a phone.
